Chesapeake Bay

Chesapeake Bay Foundation - Annapolis Wedding Photographer - Danielle & Eric

I love it when you connect with someone on a witty level , a tongue and cheek rapport. So when I started talking to Danielle and would get off the phone and think " man this girl is hysterical ".  I knew we were going to have a blast covering her big day. Everything for Danielle & Eric's wedding was at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation right at the water's edge. A ceremony on the beach is always fun , taking such a serious event and transforming it to a relaxed atmosphere. The waterfront wedding had a perfect backdrop of expansive views of the Chesapeake Bay and a gorgeous sky. Danielle looked gorgeous , was fun of course, and the wedding went off perfect. Fiona's Cakes had a beautiful piece of work there and Ken's Creative Kitchen displayed an amazing spread of food as uaual.

Annapolis Wedding - Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Mandy & Ryan

Mandy and Ryan had a beautiful day on the bay , at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club ! I really got to know the couple when we did an engagement sitting in Old Town Alexandria. We got some real romantic photos on all the historic roads and cool alley ways. They had brought their dog for some photos, making the family photo complete. Mandy and Ryan are super laid back and fun and that transpired into their wedding. Thanks for having us be a part of your big day !

Annapolis Wedding - Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Merri & Ryan

Merri and Ryan got married!  They got married on the hottest day of the summer but that didn't stop them from enjoying the day!   It was one of our favorite weddings because it included so many of our favorite spots in and around Annapolis.   We started with pre-ceremony photos at the Loews Hotel and then headed to the ceremony at St. Mary's in historic downtown Annapolis.  Wow, do I love that church and it is not because I am parishioner there.  It is because it is such a gorgeous church with the star painted ceilings, elaborate alter and grand columns!  After the ceremony, Merri and Ryan wanted to have some fun in downtown Annapolis so we hit the dock and did some side streets as well.  After we all had enough heat, we got in our cool cars and headed over the bay bridge to another one of our favorite spots...The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.  As always, the CBBC staff rocked it out.  The room looked gorgeous and nothing missed a beat.  We were grateful for the beautiful sunset and made sure to capture a few romantic shots for Merri and Ryan to remember.  Beautiful couple and a beautiful day! dsc_2845-2.jpg dsc_2967-5.jpg dsc_6724-3.jpg dsc_3170-10.jpg dsc_3322-14.jpg dsc_3455-16.jpg dsc_7007-11.jpg

Annapolis Wedding - Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Heather & Shaun

Another gorgeous day on the Eastern Shore at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, and Heather and Shaun were excited for the big day.Heather used a lot of great purples throughout her wedding and the flowers looked amazing from Flower Follies . Shaun had some cool under shirts made for him and his groomsmen and hands down was one of the nicest grooms I have ever met , he treated us like a friend not a vendor. The CBBC of course ran a perfect wedding and everything was amazing.Congratulations Heather and Shaun and thanks for having us be a part of your wedding! dsc_6068-7.jpg dsc_1873-9.jpg dsc_2275-16.jpg dsc_2488-19.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Celebrations at the Bay - Katy & Matthew

Katy and Matthew's wedding was truly a Chesapeake Bay wedding with events on both sides of the bay. We started off at Katy's parents' home in Grasonville and got some stunning photos on the dock across from their house. As we were finishing the photography with the expansive bay as the background, a jet ski went by and he waved. It was one of the family friends zooming home to get dressed for the event. Then we were off to the other side of the bay for the ceremony, and the beautiful reception at Celebrations at the Bay. This facility has amazing views of the Chesapeake Bay and of course a great dock for more photography. The crew is so helpful and friendly everyone feels welcomed. Katy and Matthew enjoyed the evening with their friends and family and the reception went bumping into the night. dsc_4825-5.jpg dsc_0303-1.jpg dsc_5143-13.jpg dsc_5128-12.jpg dsc_5154-15.jpg dsc_0469-5.jpg dsc_5292-17.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Tilghman Island - Karla & Dave

From the minute I met Karla and Dave and found out they were beer aficionados like myself, I knew we were going to bond and get some great photos. And when I found out they were getting married at one of my favorite Eastern Shore locations, the Tilghman Island Inn, I knew the wedding was going to be picturesque and whole lot of fun! Yes, Tilghman Island Inn is waterfront with amazing views, but of all the great qualities of this facility, nothing compares to the fresh seafood and extensive wine list. A truly unique spot for two families to come together and enjoy a wedding. The ceremony took place on the water's edge and the weather was perfect. Love was in the air and micro brews were at the bar! oldpaper-2.jpg dsc_1648-7.jpg dsc_1602-3.jpg img_4856-1.jpg img_4912-2.jpg img_5149-5.jpg dsc_2078-15.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Silver Swan Bayside - Amy & Wayne

We had the privilege of photographing Amy and Wayne's wedding at the Silver Swan Bayside, and it was a gorgeous day on the bay. Amazing blues everywhere - from the water to the sky to the details inside the reception. The couple was really cool and had fun with the photography. With so many great spots to shoot at the Silver Swan, we got tons of bayside images. This is one of my favorite places to shoot, and the staff and food at the Silver Swan are both top notch! The two families of the couple enjoyed each other and the elegant evening that unfolded. Absolute Entertainment set the mood for the event and of course got the dance floor pumping into the night. dsc_9493-7.jpg dsc_9379-4.jpg dsc_9629-8.jpg dsc_9814-10.jpg dsc_9817-11.jpg dsc_9295-1.jpg dsc_0292-21.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Hyatt Cambridge - Kristine & Ryan

I am so glad Kristine and Ryan chose Hamilton Photography to photograph their big day.  They were such a kind couple.  Kristine looked beautiful and even though the wind tried to break her smile, it couldn't.  The wedding took place at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge.  Kristine and Ryan's 'reveal' was so romantic in the scenic rooftop lighthouse.  It was the perfect place for the groom to see his bride for the first time!  We got a chance to photograph the couple in the lighthouse and the architecture was a photographer's playground!  I loved that Kristine's brother was the officiant during the ceremony.  It added such a personal touch.  The Hyatt Cambridge is one of my favorite 'destination' spots in Maryland.  The views, grounds, beach and river make for amazing backdrops.  Blue Sky Films did the videography for the day and I know that Shelly captured the laughs, toasts and excitement through her camera as well.  Congratulations to Kristine and Ryan ... we wish you the best! dsc_8296-13.jpg dsc_8326.jpg dsc_9560-13.jpg dsc_9744.jpg dsc_8607-5.jpg dsc_8744-8.jpg dsc_8409.jpg

Eastern Shore Wedding - Silver Swan Bayside - Chelsea & Brett

Chelsea and Brett are very easy going and wanted a classy wedding on the water. There is something very classy and easy-going about a wedding reception on the Eastern Shore.  And at the end of Kent Island they found the jem facility, Silver Swan Bayside.  Guests can congregate on the lawn while enjoying the expansive views of the Chesapeake Bay and some of the biggest shrimp I've seen at a wedding (the seafood is always better on the Eastern Shore).  There is plenty of room inside - a nice large bar and a raised dance floor for everyone to get down. Ken Rochen, owner and DF for Absolute Entertainment, played the perfect mix of music that fits a bayside wedding and completed the total feeling one gets at an Eastern Shore wedding. _sac5910-5.jpg _sac6612-10.jpg dsc_2358-17.jpg dsc_2409-21.jpg dsc_2801-27.jpg

Annapolis Wedding - Chesapeake Bay Beach Club - Kimberly and Brian

The Black and Decker couple had a blast at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.  My wife Christina worked at Black and Decker for 8 years and though still not in this fun, corporate cult, we're still involved with their functions.  Another fun wedding, another party on the bay!  And once again, Jeff Colley and the Reflexion Videography crew were covering the wedding like silent George Lucas' (out of the way, but creating an artistic video). dsc_8461-5.jpg dsc_8588-5.jpg dsc_8606-7.jpg dsc_8622-6.jpg dsc_8809-12.jpg
