The Valley Country Club and its Football Legend
Art Donovan’s (Hall of Fame tackle for the Baltimore Colts) venue has been polished up and is looking great. With Absolute Entertainment packing the dance floor, I shot it up and then moved onto the best room in the mansion – the bar. The bar is filled with Art Donovan memorabilia and old photos from Frank Sinatra, to Rock Hudson, to Spiro Agnew. The bartender – Art’s son – is a spitting image of his father. You can see the resemblance from the huge painting of Art towering above the bar. Art was, as usual, at the far corner of the bar, right past the Schlitz can, conversing with respectful wedding guests. After shooting guests for years posed around this proud Baltimorian, I finally decided it was time I got in the shot
