The Governor Calvert House, located in Historic Annapolis, is one of our all time favorite Annapolitan wedding venues! Caitlin & McMillan obviously agreed because they selected the Governor Calvert House for their wedding reception, with the ceremony taking place at the United States Naval Academy Chapel. As a nod to the groom’s military service, the couple went with a classic nautical theme for their big day, incorporating sailor’s knots, rustic roping, metallic gold accents and navy blue striping to tie everything together.
Caitlin’s dress was truly fit for a princess – we can’t get over the delicate beading and intricate details on the illusion neckline – and oh, that tulle skirt! Simply dreamy. The large bridal party (7 on each side, PLUS flower girls!) was equally neatly outfitted. Bridesmaids in floor length Navy, Groomsmen in a mix of military dress & classic black tuxes, and flower girls in adorable patterned knee length Navy dresses. The hydrangeas and anemones in the bouquets looked lovely and fit the nautical theme perfectly.
