Victoria and Charles chose the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Foundation for their October wedding because they wanted to honor the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay and conservation efforts. This was a venue that was familiar to them, as teachers who frequently take students here on field trips. […]
Natalie and Daniel chose the stunning Annapolis Waterfront Hotel for their wedding day. It was an intimate wedding with their closet family and friends in attendance. Even though they planned a small wedding, their photography was still very important so our Short and Sweet Package was perfect! […]
Meredith and Jordan’s Naval Academy Club wedding was a winter showstopper coordinated by Wedding Savvy Wedding Consultants! The bride wore her hair, done by Dorsey Beauty, in a classic chignon, pinned up with a floral crystal pendant. Around her neck Meredith wore pearls, a simple and elegant statement. Her fit and flare dress designed by, Matthew Christopher and purchased at Bridals By Lori, had off the shoulder sleeves, and an open back leading down to a beautiful train. […]
If we had to pick one word to describe Katelyn & Michael’s wonderful wedding, it would be romantic! The couple held their ceremony at the United States Naval Academy Chapel and the love emanating from them as they recited their vows was visible to all. As they held hands and looked into each other’s eyes, Katelyn just couldn’t stop smiling at her new husband. Later, the bride and groom would walk through the gardens of the William Paca House & Gardens and take their seats for the wedding reception – we asked Katelyn about that moment and she says that looking out into the gardens with her new husband sitting next to her and all of their closest family and friends around them was the most beautiful moment of her life! Annie & Zach’s wedding day at the delightful Herrington Harbour was embattled by coastal winds, but our fun loving couple didn’t let the weather stop them from enjoying their wedding day to the fullest. (And the stormy skies made for some beautiful sunset photos on the docks!) Read on to see how they made the day uniquely theirs. […]
The USNA traditions with the old Hollywood vibe had us drooling over all the photo ops for Caroline and Matt! Let’s start with the versatile yet stylish wedding dress! Its delicate and beautiful lace jacket was worn over the silk ball gown to emulate a Grace Kelly/Kate Middleton look. It was modern yet classic all in one! And then there was the beautiful antique car paired with the grand architecture of the Westin. It created a scene
Lise and John’s Naval Academy wedding was a little different than most – in part due to the amazing fog which created a dreamy atmosphere for their shoot. As if the USNA couldn’t be any more of a beautiful location, the soft light and the haze really upped the ante; the vibe was totally otherworldly in the best of ways. The creamy hues of the academy walls, Lise’s wedding dress and bouquet created a cohesive color palette which seemed to unify everything. One of our favorite things about Lise and John was their complete comfort around one another and the realness of their connection. While they look incredible during posed shots, the real magic was caught in the candid moments in-between. Congratulations to John and Lise!
We first met Christina and Daniel during their engagement session and it has been an absolute pleasure being there to capture their wedding journey from start to finish! They are truly one of the kindest, easygoing couples we’ve ever met! The wedding, held at the USNA and Silver Swan, was a dazzling event filled with so many sweet moments and impressive details. The only aspect of the day that didn’t shine was the sun, as it rained the majority of the day. However, Christina and Daniel kept their composure and fully embraced the day despite the oscillating rain showers. It couldn’t have been any more beautiful – rain and all!
When it comes to weddings, we love them all – big or small – but we’ve got to say there is something extra special about smaller weddings. Whether on a budget, a time crunch, have a small family, or you simply don’t want all the attention associated with a large wedding – whatever the reason – less can definitely be more, as evidenced by the following photos. Smaller weddings have a unique advantage of being able to be held in virtually any location – from the traditional courthouse to backyards and parks or even smaller rooms in larger establishments. The possibilities are endless!
