Finally we are back at the US Naval Academy after a 14 month pandemic-hiatus! And what a wedding to welcome guests back to the USNA! […]
Fall wedding’s are magical! The weather is cooling, but still not cold, the leaves give us dynamic color and there is is a great anticipation in the air as we scurry about for the winter to come.
2020 hasn’t been a year to have big celebrations and large gatherings, so let’s take a look back to one year ago, November 2019 to when Allison and Tim tied the knot. These two lovebirds celebrated with a gorgeous wedding at the beautiful Croton Country Club. However, they still wanted to honor Tim’s naval status, so they decided to start their day together at the US Navel Academy, (which, because of Covid, is still closed for weddings as we write this.) […]
Melanie and Logan had planned their dream wedding to happen in June of 2020. A ceremony at the beautiful US Naval Academy Cathedral, 5 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen, a walk through the traditional Naval sword arch, and a 150 guest reception at Port Annapolis Marina.
However, their big wedding plans had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping the planet. […]
Annapolis is filled with many gorgeous historic homes, some of which are available for short-term lease. Chelsea and Matt decided on using two of these unique homes to get ready for their big day.
Chelsea and the girls got ready in the unique home at 212 Prince Street, a beautiful brick townhome built in 1867. Hardwood floors, bright white moulding and perfect light coming in the old windows, lit our pre-bridal photos with a special glow.
A block away, Matt and guys got dressed at 238 King George Street, a home available on Go Navy Rentals, built in 1920 and only steps away from the Naval Academy. […]
Olivia and Gavin decided on an early spring wedding at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
Blue is the color of choice for Annapolis bridesmaids this 2019 season and Olivia’s bridesmaids wore it beautifully! To keep the spring freshness, the flowers consisted of […]
The Naval Academy is still one of our favorite spots for wedding photography in Annapolis. It is a classic space for gorgeous wedding photos and classic never gets old! The day was planned by Jan Wise, who owns Going to the Chapel and she nailed the couples vision. The wedding was stunning and classic…just what they wanted! We couldn’t be happier for them.
Meredith and Jordan’s Naval Academy Club wedding was a winter showstopper coordinated by Wedding Savvy Wedding Consultants! The bride wore her hair, done by Dorsey Beauty, in a classic chignon, pinned up with a floral crystal pendant. Around her neck Meredith wore pearls, a simple and elegant statement. Her fit and flare dress designed by, Matthew Christopher and purchased at Bridals By Lori, had off the shoulder sleeves, and an open back leading down to a beautiful train. […]
If we had to pick one word to describe Katelyn & Michael’s wonderful wedding, it would be romantic! The couple held their ceremony at the United States Naval Academy Chapel and the love emanating from them as they recited their vows was visible to all. As they held hands and looked into each other’s eyes, Katelyn just couldn’t stop smiling at her new husband. Later, the bride and groom would walk through the gardens of the William Paca House & Gardens and take their seats for the wedding reception – we asked Katelyn about that moment and she says that looking out into the gardens with her new husband sitting next to her and all of their closest family and friends around them was the most beautiful moment of her life! […]
The USNA traditions with the old Hollywood vibe had us drooling over all the photo ops for Caroline and Matt! Let’s start with the versatile yet stylish wedding dress! Its delicate and beautiful lace jacket was worn over the silk ball gown to emulate a Grace Kelly/Kate Middleton look. It was modern yet classic all in one! And then there was the beautiful antique car paired with the grand architecture of the Westin. It created a scene
Lise and John’s Naval Academy wedding was a little different than most – in part due to the amazing fog which created a dreamy atmosphere for their shoot. As if the USNA couldn’t be any more of a beautiful location, the soft light and the haze really upped the ante; the vibe was totally otherworldly in the best of ways. The creamy hues of the academy walls, Lise’s wedding dress and bouquet created a cohesive color palette which seemed to unify everything. One of our favorite things about Lise and John was their complete comfort around one another and the realness of their connection. While they look incredible during posed shots, the real magic was caught in the candid moments in-between. Congratulations to John and Lise!
