Cara and Mike’s June 2021 wedding was a color lover’s dream come true! This Summer Solstice wedding was held at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club’s Beach House venue.
The day began with Cara and her ladies getting dressed in one of the Beach Club’s beautiful rooms. While many bride’s choose Chesapeake Bay blue colors to be harmonious with the watery backdrop, Cara chose to have her bridesmaids wear shades of green. This was different and amazing and the green’s worked beautifully! Accented within the green’s were two junior bridesmaids, wearing pale pink gowns and all carried a fresh bouquet of greenish-yellow roses. Then let’s talk about our bride Cara, she had on a custom designed pale pink floral-embroidered wedding gown and it was beautiful! Her gown was a one-of-a-kind, designed by fashion designer, Toby Sheorn, who was in attendance at the wedding. The groom was dressed in a dark green suit with a black and white-spotted bow-tie made out of feathers and to finish off the look, blue-velvet shoes.
The ceremony was about to begin and all the guests gathered in simple white chairs on the green grassy yard overlooking the Chesapeake Bay with the Bay Bridge in the distance. Cara started down the natural grass aisle holding her father’s arm. Mike smiled in excitement when he saw his gorgeous bride approaching. Cara carried a very colorful bouquet of flowers, that matched the embroidered ones on her custom dress. The sky this day was full of deep dramatic clouds which lit up the greens, blues, and pinks in a way that gave this wedding an ethereal look.
Being one of the longest days of the year, the sunset came late, but what a sunset it was! The sky flashed so many colors and then finally mellowed into a deep blue with a glowing red sun splash, that lingered in the western sky late into the evening.
