Fall wedding’s are magical! The weather is cooling, but still not cold, the leaves give us dynamic color and there is is a great anticipation in the air as we scurry about for the winter to come.
2020 hasn’t been a year to have big celebrations and large gatherings, so let’s take a look back to one year ago, November 2019 to when Allison and Tim tied the knot. These two lovebirds celebrated with a gorgeous wedding at the beautiful Croton Country Club. However, they still wanted to honor Tim’s naval status, so they decided to start their day together at the US Navel Academy, (which, because of Covid, is still closed for weddings as we write this.)
Our day started with photos of the bridal party at the Vaughan Diann Spa in Annapolis, MD. The ladies had their hair and make-up perfected and we got to snap some fresh shots. From there we moved along to the USNA for the first-look reveal, always an exciting and emotional moment to capture. Allison walked up to Tim, wearing her lace-back dress with buttons running down the seam to reveal a lace flare at the bottom. A gentle tap on Tim’s shoulder, he turned around to see his beautiful wife-to-be and gave her a big kiss. While at the USNA we took the opportunity to take a few photos around the Naval Academy buildings and grounds, before we headed to the Crofton Country Club for the ceremony.
The grounds of the Crofton Country Club were beautiful! Fall colors were in full splendor. Allison’s father walked her through the brick and wrought iron gates and down the brick walkway. A perfect autumn day for an outdoor ceremony!
The reception space was decorated with classic white table linens and gold detailed table settings. Husband and wife shared a solo dance, then their guests joined them on the spacious dance floor.
Before the sunset that evening we headed out into the gardens of the country club to capture a few more outdoor photos of this couple. The club provided us with a cute golf cart to get us around to all the beautiful scenery, including a beautiful old red barn covered in vines.
To end the night our couple sliced into their cake and fed each other a slice, while giggling at the taunt of a cake face-smash. Instead, they sealed it with a kiss and that’s how Allison and Tim’s fall nuptials went down in the books. Happy one year Anniversary Allison and Tim!
