Go Navy! Being photographers in Annapolis, we’re always really proud to be able to photograph a lot of weddings at the US Naval Academy downtown. Caitlin & James’ wedding was one of out favorites at USNA this year–they were such a genuine, fun couple and there were a lot of great details to shoot along with the grand views we love capturing at the Naval Academy. Staying true to the Navy spirit of the day, Caitlin & James’ wedding colors were blue and white! We love Caitlin’s elegant white bouquet by Cache Fleur and the ribbon detail on her veil!
The United States Naval Academy Chapel is such a breathtaking place for a ceremony. The historic structure is placed in the center of the naval yard and is filled with symbolism and memories. The fish eye lens does a great job capturing the ambiance of Caitlyn and James ceremony.
It is rare not to see a sword arch exit at the USNA chapel but I like how the bridesmaids lined one side and the groomsmen lined the other side. It made for a very candid wedding party moment!
Bancroft Hall is a must if you have the time to take photos on the property prior to the reception. The architecture and layout is one of the best spots in all of Annapolis.
Caitlin & James’ wedding reception was at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, where we capture some of our favorite sunset photos. It is the classic Maryland waterfront spot for a great wedding reception! Could you ask for a better backdrop for your cake display? Also, check out the creative candy bar they did for their reception. It made for great photos but more importantly, the guests loved it. Come on, who doesn’t love a candy bar.
Congratulations to such a fantastic couple. We wish you nothing but the best as the years go on. You deserve a happily ever after!
