Some relationships have surprising beginnings!
We are so inspired by Laura & Kyle’s unique, color-filled wedding day! Christina & Heather loved photographing all the lovely details and fun surprises that filled the day at this Elkridge Furnace Inn wedding. It was a pleasure getting to know this amazing couple during this exciting season of their lives.
Laura & Kyle met participating in the Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race (yes, that’s a real thing! check out the link) put on by the American Visionary Arts Museum. Years later, Kyle actually proposed to Laura at the museum! Here’s how Laura describes the sweet event:
“Once Kyle subtly made sure we were alone on the balcony [at the museum], he came up behind me and asked, ‘so when you gonna let me marry you.’ My response, as I began to spin around was, ‘well first I need a ring…’ I stopped mid-spin completely surprised, Kyle was on his knee holding an open ring box saying many awesome things (happiest, love, marry, put it on). Through my tears I managed to say yes and I put on that beautiful ring from my love and friend Kyle. The rest isn’t history yet, our history is still in the making!”
Isn’t Laura’s applique wedding dress stunning? Everyone was saying she should never take it off and we have to agree. It’s a gorgeous design that’s perfectly suited for her by Justin Alexander.
Playful pops of color where everywhere at this wedding! Gorgeous floral design by Wicked Willow.
Devilfish Ink interpreted the feel of this wedding perfectly with the classic, fun paper design.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the place as Laura walked down the isle with her dad.
More from Laura… “The ceremony made us laugh and oh so happy! The pictures Hamilton captured as we exited down the aisle really catch that!”
The Elkridge Furnace Inn has so many lush, beautiful places for wedding pictures.
Laura & Kyle commissioned cake toppers of inspired by the race where they met! Such a cute wedding cake idea, which was executed beautifully by Baltimore Cakery.
We love these wedding table ideas: lots of white with pops of orange florals, accented with candlelight.
We love wedding reception photography, especially when an event is a giant party like this was! All of the guests had a blast and no one wanted the night to end!
Congratulations, Laura & Kyle! You made this day uniquely yours and we’re so happy to have been a part of it!
