“Well, you can’t have a dream and cut it to fit / But when I saw you I knew we’d go together/ Like a wink and a smile” – Harry Connick Jr.
The lines to this love song that John first played for Maggie couldn’t be any more appropriate in light of the tale to how they first met! We opened our 2015 wedding season in January with this lovely couple in what was a classic Annapolis naval wedding followed by an elegant reception at the Loews Hotel.
Bridesmaids help attach Maggie’s veil while her mother cheerfully looks on in anticipation.
Little House of Flowers arranged Maggie’s beautiful muted pink and white rose bouquet.
LEFT: It was in a church aisle not unlike this one where Maggie and John first met. The two two of them were asked to be in the bridal party of their close friends who were to marry. During the rehearsal, all of the groomsmen were lined up at the front of the church and the bridesmaids were in the back. The bridesmaids were to walk down the aisle to meet a groomsman to be escorted. Not having seen each other yet, John and Maggie linked up. Immediately, John became stunned by Maggie’s beauty.
RIGHT: Sometimes it rains on your wedding day, but it only made the day more romantic! Maggie and John shared a tender kiss under the umbrella in the middle of a downpour.
The couple shares a private dance under the beautifully vaulted ceilings and elegant chandelier.
Main Ingredient whipped up lots of sweet little cupcakes and a cake for the evening.
