Annapolis is filled with many gorgeous historic homes, some of which are available for short-term lease. Chelsea and Matt decided on using two of these unique homes to get ready for their big day.
Chelsea and the girls got ready in the unique home at 212 Prince Street, a beautiful brick townhome built in 1867. Hardwood floors, bright white moulding and perfect light coming in the old windows, lit our pre-bridal photos with a special glow.
A block away, Matt and guys got dressed at 238 King George Street, a home available on Go Navy Rentals, built in 1920 and only steps away from the Naval Academy.
When Chelsea was perfected in her bridal best, we took the girls for a walk over to the William Paca House and Gardens for some gorgeous spring pre-bridal photos. Meanwhile Matt and the boys, stayed over at the Naval Academy and took some pre-wedding photos on the grounds there.
From the gardens, the girls boarded the Annapolis Trolley to deliver them to the Naval Academy Chapel for the ceremony. Matt waited at the alter for his gorgeous bride. He hadn’t seen her yet and the excitement in the air was palatable. Chelsea clasped her father’s arm and headed down the bright blue carpet towards the alter. Matt and Chelsea embraced hands while they became husband and wife, kissed and then walked down the aisle into the fresh spring air. Outside the chapel, 10 Naval officers raised their swords for the newlyweds to walk through.
As the guests made their way over to the William Paca House for the reception, we took formal photos on the grounds of the Naval Academy. We walked the Superintendent’s garden, with fresh green and yellows of newly sprouted plants, that gave us gorgeous spring colors for this newly sprouted partnership.
Over at the William Paca House and Gardens, guests were elated when our husband and wife arrived. A white tent was set-up outside for the festivities. The weather was cool and crisp as Chelsea and Matt embraced for their first dance. The band, Nightsong, kept the action alive with plenty of dancing and fun for the guests. When we neared the end of this fabulous day, the Mr. and Mrs. posed for photos with their creamy white-iced wedding cake, topped with fresh flowers.
