Olivia and Gavin decided on an early spring wedding at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
Blue is the color of choice for Annapolis bridesmaids this 2019 season and Olivia’s bridesmaids wore it beautifully! To keep the spring freshness, the flowers consisted of delicate white, pink and blush roses, tightly trussed together with little bits of greenery poking out. Olivia wore a classic and elegant boat-neck gown with an open back, her hair swept back into a classic chignon, teardrop earrings and a perfect red lip.
Gavin and his groomsmen got ready separately. Then, with their best Naval dress outfits on, we walked around the grounds of the Naval Academy to capture his anticipation of becoming Olivia’s husband. Just look at the smile on Gavin’s face, he couldn’t wait to see his bride!
With all the glam, love and Naval style, we couldn’t help feeling a little Titanic vibe. But this evening would have no sad ending!
Olivia and her dad spent a few moments together before walking into the chapel and down the blue-carpeted aisle. The bride’s dress-train flared out and swept behind her overlaid with her long veil. What a beautiful flourish walking into her wedding and up to the alter to greet her groom.
After the ceremony, Gavin and Olivia walked out through the traditional sword arch salute for military personnel. Here we captured a tender kiss between the blades of the swords and then off for more photos on the Naval Academy grounds.
Guests gathered in the Naval Academy Club awaiting the newlyweds. When Gavin and Olivia entered the reception they embraced for their first dance as husband and wife. These two rarely left each others side throughout the reception, which was full of fun and partying by all!
This was a love boat that will keep sailing into the sunset for evermore.
