This love story starts on the waves on the ocean, underneath starry skies, with the smell of sea air and adventures giving rise…
Meg was born in New Jersey, USA and Morgen in Calgary, Canada. In 2013 they were sailing around the world and first met. In 2014 they joined team Henri Lloyd, circumnavigated the oceans and won the Clipper Round the World!
In 2016, while in Greece they bought their current sailboat, the Hermes and have lived aboard and raced around the Atlantic ocean ever since. Today they manage offshore sail training, racing and charter business: Ocean Racers.
In November 2020, they had wanted to adventure to the Caribbean but current events, COVID, had kept them here, in Annapolis. These two know how to go with the flow, so they decided to tie-the-knot, while in Annapolis.
It was a gorgeous late November day. The sun was getting low so early now, and the South River had crystalline waters with the coming cold winter. Meg and Morgen docked their vessel at Liberty Marina in Edgewater, MD. There was such a relaxed chill vibe, with these two adventurous lovers. They helped each other to dress and smiled warmly at each other as they finished writing vows and shared a glass of champagne.
When they were ready, we headed up onto the floral garland-decorated bow where they became husband and wife. The wind blew energetic gusts that carried their words of love across the river, into the bay and then across the seas, where it will be free to circumnavigate the earth, whispering sweet breezes on far away lands.
“Forever searching for the true uncertainty that defines adventure” – Morgen Watson
“It is by no mistake in design that we see our reflections in the water. It is the universe from which we came, and in which we can find ourselves.” – Meg Reilly
