Shannon and Aleksei’s wedding took place on a beautiful October afternoon at the United States Naval Academy; the very place Aleksei had proposed on New Year’s Eve. The overcast day gave Christina and Danny the perfect opportunity to create beautiful images with softened light. Shannon & Aleksei spent most of their engagement apart, as he was stationed overseas and she was here in DC. Shannon told us that their separation during that time made them want to fill their wedding with sentimental, personal touches that would tell their story as a couple. They loved showing their family around their favorite spots in Annapolis (including Red Red Wine Bar, where the couple went after they got engaged, and the Naval Academy). Shannon’s dress is Casablanca by Manhattan Bridals in Massachusetts. Perfect hair by Jackie’s Design; Connie at Violets Florist provided the elegant pastel bouquet.
Shannon and Aleksei chose the Naval Academy as their wedding venue not only because it was where they got engaged but because of the beauty of the chapel and Officer’s club. They also think Claire and Maggie, the coordinators at the chapel and O club, are wonderful (we agree)!
Beautiful cake by Cakes and Confections; paper design by Cink DeVeas.
The Naval Academy Officer’s Club was looking gorgeous! A perfect venue for Shannon and Aleksei’s intimate reception.
The dance floor was packed all night, thanks to their fun-loving guests and some great music provided by E3. Congratulations, Shannon and Aleksei! We’re so thrilled to have been part of your wedding and we wish you two all the best!
What a GORGEOUS wedding!!
